Clients are encouraged to prioritize their well-being and address challenges with inner strengths to help them achieve success.

Upon receiving her MSW from Catholic University she was a clinical social worker for Montgomery County Maryland Child Welfare Services in the Child Sex Abuse and Fatalities division. After serving the families and children in the county, Courtney took on the challenge of overseeing the Archdiocese of Washington’s Child Protection & Safe Environment Office where she managed allegations of clergy sexual abuse and misconduct. She worked with victims and families who needed help reporting abuse as well as providing appropriate support for families to heal. During her tenure at the Archdiocese, Courtney provided trainings and talks for educators, clergy, employees, and volunteers on safe environment practices and protocols.

Her experiences working with children and families both as an educator and clinical social worker led her to create her practice -Mindful Strategies.

“My goal is to offer appropriate tools for individuals and families to use their strengths to address challenges that cause discomfort and stress and help pave a road for personal growth and peace of mind.”
